Editorial policy
Rural News Dispatch aims to explain rural policy carefully and plainly. We distinguish what a policy proposes from what it delivers and make uncertainty visible rather than smoothing it away.
Accuracy and context
We check wording, dates and context before publication, and take care not to turn a proposal, aspiration or target into a claim about results. Where a topic depends on a particular place or set of rules, we say so and avoid implying that one account applies everywhere.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to secure a partnership. If we identify a material error, we correct it and make the change clear to readers. You can send a correction through the Contact page with the article and the point you believe needs attention.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when relevant, we identify them as such and do not present them as documentary photographs.
