Write for us
Rural News Dispatch welcomes considered pitches that help readers understand public policy and services beyond cities. We look for a clear question, a defined subject and a useful explanation rather than a broad claim about rural life.
What to pitch
Propose an explainer, comparison, policy background piece or account of how a public choice is designed and delivered. A strong idea names the question it will answer, the reader it will help and the scope it can cover without relying on unsupported claims.
A useful approach
Keep the focus specific, define unfamiliar terms and distinguish policy intentions from results. Tell us what context the piece needs, what evidence or sources you expect to use, and where the limits of the argument lie. We do not accept pitches that require readers to act on professional advice.
Send a proposal
Send your pitch through the Contact page. Include a working title, a short outline and any relevant writing sample or background you choose to share. A proposal is not a promise of publication.
